Thank you for taking the time to review these house rules. We want a stay at Downhouse Farm Holidays to be an enjoyable and memorable one for every single guest and these house rules are in place to ensure that can happen. So whilst staying with us, please adhere to the following...
For the Farmhouse at Downhouse Farm
Check in is from 4pm and check out is by 10am, unless agreed in advance. We will be flexible on this if we can and our changeovers allow, but please do check with us beforehand.
Please be mindful of your neighbours. There is a property that adjoins the main farmhouse so please keep noise to an acceptable level.
Quiet hours are between 9pm and 9am.
The Farmhouse sleeps up to a maximum of 10 guests, including babies and infants in this number.
No smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes, is permitted in the Farmhouse.
Fire risks including candles, tea lights, firepits, fireworks and lanterns are not permitted at the Property.
Drone and unmanned vehicles are not to be used on or from our site without permission.
Children under 18 years of age must be supervised by their parents/guardians at all times.
No visitors are allowed to stay overnight at the Property. If you wish to invite additional day visitors during your stay, please contact us.
We welcome up to two well behaved dogs , although they are not permitted upstairs or on any of the furniture. Dogs must not be left alone in or at the property and any fouling must be cleared up.
On departure please ensure you have washed and dried up crockery and kitchen equipment and/or loaded the dishwasher and started the wash cycle, removed all rubbish and recycling from the property (including bathroom and kitchen bins) and separated it into the relevant bins located outside.
Downhouse Farm is a working farm. At certain times of the year there will be livestock on the land and agricultural activities taking place, such as mowing, baling etc. There are footpaths across the fields which you are welcome to explore, however please keep to the footpaths and be respectful of the livestock, especially if you have dogs with you, which must be kept on a lead.
If you’d like to say hello to Dot and Daisy, our two saddleback pigs, we’re more than happy to introduce you (please just ask!) But please do not feed them or put any hands in their enclosure, they could bite if they think you have food.
If you have any problem or cause for complaint, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible to give us the best chance to resolve it. We really value your custom with our small family business and want you to have the best experience with us. As we live on site we will do our best to resolve any issues as soon as we can.
For Granary Barn at Downhouse Farm

Granary Barn sleeps up to a maximum of four adults and children combined, with up to one additional infant (being a baby or very young child in a cot).
No smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes, is permitted in Granary Barn.
